It's set in a lightly scalloped claw mount - also beautiful - and dates from the late Victorian era

The heart-shaped emerald rest beneath a gleaming diamond-set crown - all intricately worked with a great level of detail

Victorian Bloodstone "People Like This Are Rare On Earth" Intaglio Signet Ring swallow a 2ct old cut takesDATE: Victorian, c. 1890 A fantastic Victorian period ring set with a shield shaped bloodstone agate, intaglio carved with a heraldic crest above a motto. This one was quite a difficult one to translate, but we managed to figure out and translate it to "People Like This Are Rare On Earth". Its quite a lovely motto really, and it rests in a chunky 18 karat yellow gold mount with shoulders that curve out from each side angle of head. STONES Bloodstone
